Cheese rolling by Boojamon Cheese rolling by Boojamon
Just one of many little factoids I'm drawing for the cheese shop. I draw these on paper bags between customers and hand them out to the ones I like - as a result, this isn't the absolute best of them, but I was pleased with the mountain shading. The one I was most pleased with went to a lovely couple who bought a slice of Comté.

Hooray for cheese!

"Traditional cheese wheels can be over three feet across and weigh over half a ton. Especially mountain cheeses. This was to make them easy to roll down the hill from the dairy to the village. Nowadays, there are still cheese rolling competitions in some parts of the world."
